The Phoenix Suns are looking to keep a big man in town.

And his name isn't Amar'e Stoudemire.

Nope, the Suns have reportedly offered Channing Frye a five year, $25 million deal to keep him in Phoenix.

While it's still possible that Amar'e could re-sign with the Suns, the chances are highly unlikely.

Although the Suns and Amar'e were recently in contract talks, they have broken down.

Stoudemire is now in the mega-star free agent class that includes LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Joe Johnson.

Who knows where he'll sign now? New York? New Jersey? Chicago? Miami?

Right now, it's probably anywhere but Phoenix.

Frye, meanwhile, is a player the Suns need on both offense and defense. While he hit a cold streak in the playoffs, Frye is a consistent three-point specialist who can also haul down some rebounds.

The fourth-year big man from Arizona averaged just over 11 points and five boards per game. His stats dropped a little in the playoffs as he scored eight points per game but his rebounds were about the same.

There is still a chance that the free agent could receive a bigger and better offer from another team and leave town.

But, for now, let's hope Channing Frye decides to stay in the Valley.
