Teen Hit by Three Cars, One Actually Stopped; Witnesses Say He May Have Been Pushed Into the Road

Attention Phoenix motorists: When you hit a person with your car, you need to stop.

This public-service announcement comes because in less than two weeks, a teenager and a 62-year-old woman were each hit by multiple cars and in each case, only one person stopped.

Phoenix police are looking for two drivers who hit and killed 15-year-old Francisco Elias at about 7 p.m. last night, and then simply sped off.

According to witnesses, Elias was fighting with two other kids on the side of the road before he was hit. The two kids chased Elias toward the road and may have pushed him into oncoming traffic, police say.

The two kids Elias was fighting with got away but were described as black males between 14-18 years old, and if they did in fact push the teen, may face homicide charges if caught.

Once in the road, Elias was hit by a three cars, including a 1986 Oldsmobile and an unidentified SUV.

The first two cars to hit the boy drove off, but the third stopped to help, but it was too late -- Elias was already dead.
