A Gilbert man was arrested Wednesday after police say he and a friend posted an ad on Craigslist hoping to trade an iPod Touch and some weed for an iPad.
Based on what we've heard about the iPad, 20-year-old Jacob Walker probably would have had more fun with the weed, but his plan went terribly wrong and now he has neither.
Gilbert police Sergeant Mark Marino tells New Times that on June 5, Walker allegedly posted an ad saying "i am willing to trade my 32 gb ipod touch 3rd generation and a quarter of DANK. blue dream straight outta cali. the ipod is in PERFECT condition. not one scratch it has been in the case the whole time and has never had screen cover removed!!!! let me know!!!!"

Someone "let [Walker] Know," and unfortunately for him that person was an undercover detective with the Gilbert Police Department.
Detectives contacted Walker and set up a meeting near Val Vista and Warner Roads. Walker showed up with the weed, and the iPod, looking to make the trade.
When he met with the undercover detectives, and handed over the weed, the only thing Walker ended up trading was his "dank" for handcuffs because he was arrested on the spot and has since been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to commit sale of marijuana.
Although Walker obviously isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, we've got to wonder: Don't the Gilbert cops have some real crimes to solve?
