Kristen Keogh, spokeswoman for Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, has been named by a local magazine as one of the Valley's "Most Eligible" singles.
The award isn't surprising to us a for a couple of reasons: Keogh is a a former Arizona Coyotes cheerleader and TV news reporter who just started a high-profile job.
And Brnovich, for a Republican "top cop," is far from stodgy. As New Times' cover story reveals this week, Brnovich seems rather hip for a guy in his position. The new AG claims he's open to talking to Democrats, will defend the voters' wishes on marijuana and appears sympathetic to immigrants, (being the son of an immigrant.) He's a Jerry Garcia fan who once protested the construction of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.

Keogh's cool, too -- at about 900 degrees Farenheit.
She's one of 25 men and women chosen by Arizona Foothills Magazine this month for its annual singles story. The mag began it's "Most Eligible" list a couple of years ago, treating the winners to a night out so they can meet each other.
It's an honor of sorts -- until it's not, as Arizona Diamondbacks director of player media relations Casey Wilcox found out in 2013. After discovering Wilcox's big win, the big-shot ball players feigned envy by printing up T-shirts with "One at a Time, Ladies!" printed under his picture.
Keogh tweeted out news of her selection, thanking the mag and its publisher, Michael Dee. She also re-published a blurb from the magazine about the qualities that make her one of the Phoenix area's best catches.
A 26-year-old who grew up in Surprise, Keogh says she'll commit "whole-heartedly" to a man, if or when she ever commits.
She's looking for a very special individual, but it sounds like she may or may not be spending a lot of time with him. She writes that she believes "ambition is the sexiest quality possible," implying she seeks a real go-getter. At the same time, she's so ambitious herself, her dream guy needs to understand she's "going to commit a lot of time" making her professional dreams come true.
While that adds a slight conundrum to the whole eligibility thing, at least she intends to earn her keep.
We told Keogh we'd put off writing about solar energy this morning in order to do this lighter post about her "most-eligible" status. He's what she emailed in reply:

The "mixer" is planned for the Royal Palms Hotel from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m tomorrow. (If you didn't rsvp by now, don't worry, you're not getting in.)
Word to the wise: Prospective suitors out to impress Keogh this weekend shouldn't mention this week's turn-off words for the spokeswoman, "prison" or "lawsuit."
