A Phoenix man reportedly shot his daughter's boyfriend. According to police, the father heard noises outside the house, where his daughter and her boyfriend were having an argument. The father went outside and opened fire on the boyfriend, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries...A man who fell into the Gila River while kayaking yesterday has been rescued. The man reportedly fell off his kayak and clung to a tree until rescue workers arrived two hours later. He was checked by paramedics after his rescue, and appeared to be okay...A Surprise man who posed as a police officer has been convicted. David Word, 62, was found guilty on one of two counts of impersonating an officer. Word's undoing was pulling over a real Avondale police officer who was on his way to work in his truck last May. Word will be sentenced on May 5.
