Financial advice-giver Kiplinger says Phoenix is one of the best American cities for new college graduates.
By finding out where entry-level jobs are, what the median salary is for recent college graduates, and the cost of living, Phoenix was ranked as the eighth-best city for recent college grads.

The median pay isn't the best at $43,100, but there are a lot of entry-level jobs in Phoenix (which we've mentioned before), which is good for college grads seeking employment (but not so much so for everyone else).
And although the average rent might seem high in Phoenix, it's usually worse elsewhere around the country. In fact, of the 10 cities Kiplinger found to be the best for college graduates, Phoenix had the lowest average rent, at $843 a month for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment.
The top three cities picked by Kiplinger are Boulder, Colorado; Anchorage, Alaska; and Salt Lake City, Utah.
