Grabbing a quick, budget-friendly lunch in Scottsdale just got a lot easier thanks to the new counter service “Local Lunch” menu at The Upton. Capping the cost at $12 (including tax), the menu includes items such as Bistro Steak, House Turkey Pastrami, and the Simple Farro Salad and includes a drink of your choice. While offering a new sandwich special each day, The Upton guarantees quick service to help accommodate diners who have little time to step away from their desks. This week chef Anthony Serrano of El Palacio Restaurant & Cantina in Chandler will join forces with Prescott Brewing Company to host a campfire-themed dinner with craft beer pairings. Diners wanting to relive the glory days of fireside camping can look forward to dishes such as roasted corn and avocado salad paired with Prescott Brewing's Liquid Amber and a roasted carnitas torta with IPA-pickled veggies paired with Ponderosa IPA. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and reservations, which are required, can be made online or by calling 480-802-5770. Dinner costs $25 per person.
Fry Crawl Phx

Lovers of fried potatoes will have a lot to celebrate during this tour through some of Phoenix's favorite French fry locales. Fry-focused food truck Frites Street will lead the charge, starting the fry crawl at Welcome Diner and then traveling to Phoenix Public Market Cafe, Christopher's restaurant, and concluding at The Gladly. Frites Street will be at each location for roughly 30 minutes, during which time diners will be able to sample fries and learn what each restaurant does to make their fries different and delicious. Tickets cost $30, which includes fries at each location along the crawl. Transportation is not provided. The event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
