The Central Phoenix concert venue closed after a Saturday night concert by rockabilly band Three Bad Jacks. The lead singer lit a fire in front of the stage, setting off the Rebel Lounge sprinkler system and forcing the club to evacuate and cancel four scheduled shows.
Sounds like things aren't fully repaired yet, but the music will resume tonight.

We are pleased to announce we are reopening TONIGHT for our regularly scheduled programming - starting with tonight’s “Help Save the Wurth House” benefit show, featuring performances by Vinyl Station, Robin Vining, Mariachi De Grand Ave, Blood Feud Family Singers, Rain Made and DJ Mitch Freedom’s Phantasmagoria. All proceeds will go to benefit the preservation of the historic Wurth House, which now sits next to Modified Arts in Roosevelt Row.
We have not finished all the repairs yet, but we will have accomplished enough for the show tonight to go on. The Phoenix Fire Department has signed off on the sprinklers and alarm systems and given us the green light to reopen. Maricopa County Health Department has done an inspection, which we have passed. The PA has been tested, and to the best of our knowledge, what needs to be repaired has been. We may not be at our prettiest, but we will be loud and most importantly SAFE when doors open at 7:30pm.
All shows scheduled after today will go on as planned, including tomorrow night’s show with Ringo Deathstarr, and Saturday’s DJ event “HÄXAN.” In addition, a number of great shows have been recently announced for both local and national acts, including shows for Titus Andronicus, Swami John Reis & The Blind Shake, Highly Suspect, Cold Cave (DJ set), Beach Slang, Vinyl Station, Decker., Source Victoria and more.
