Mill Avenue just got a little bit cooler. Earlier this week, the strip of downtown Tempe most often associated with college bars and the kids that frequent them got the newest location of Cornish Pasty, a chain of local restaurants known for serving Cornish hand pies and craft beer.
The restaurant and bar is located at 425 South Mill Avenue, on the northeast corner of Mill Avenue and Fifth Street.
Though it occupies only about 1,000 square feet, the fourth Valley location of Cornish Pasty includes a full bar and will serve a limited food menu that will rotate weekly. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Thursday though Saturday.
The new location is less than a mile from the original Cornish Pasty restaurant located at 960 West University Drive, on the northwest corner of Hardy and University. A fifth restaurant in downtown Phoenix is expected to open within the next few weeks.
