Promotional Event Description

Named “Best Group/Duo” by the 2014 International Acoustic Music Awards, Tucson’s Ryanhood has taken the college touring scene by storm, playing 130 campus dates per year. Forming the duo is Cameron Hood, known for his rich, folky lead vocals, and Ryan Green, who adds explosive guitar and mandolin riffs to the project. Both started out as street performers in Boston, where Green was a student at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, before taking their high-energy and interactive performance approach to the college scene, eventually playing more than 800 shows in 45 states, touring with Jason Mraz and sharing stages with Matt Nathanson, Train, American Authors and Lifehouse. PopMatters writes, “Green and Hood expertly weave pop-sensible tracks that ride the alternative folk wave straight into a medley of musical influences.”
