Curry Corner

When Farah Khalid's popular Copper Kettle restaurant closed, Tempe residents with a yen for Indian-Pakistani delights were left high and dry. But when she opened Curry Corner in late 2010, all seemed right again. Khalid's home-spun recipes are across-the-board dynamite, including chapli kebab (spicy ground-beef patty), goat karahi (garlicky and tender goat served on a bed of tomatoes and onions), and palak paneer (creamy, dark green spinach and Indian cottage cheese). Khalid does it all -- taking orders, cooking, serving, bussing tables -- at one of Tempe's best new ethnic restaurants. Read our review.
