La Frontera Comida Mexicana

Street food might be trending hard, but La Frontera Comida Mexicana has been around long before mobile eateries were cool. The stationary food truck can be found near the intersection of 16th Street and Van Buren serving Mexican fare and some of the city's best Sonoran-style carne asada. Besides the award-winning carne asada burrito, they've got tortas, tacos and quesadillas each of which can be filled with your choice of grilled meat. The options are nearly endless with their excellent selection including el pastor, lengua, carnitas, barbacoa, al pastor and even chicharron, or fried pork rinds, and cabeza, or shredded cow's head. Wash it down with their agua frescas, a Mexican coke or a cool glass of fresh horchata for the full experience. For less than two dollars a taco and five dollar for a torta, you know you're going to get a delicious deal at this downtown Phoenix pit stop.
