This Glendale sandwich shop offers a fun, unique spin on the workaday sandwich. The menu is replete with gourmet sandwiches – or “sammiches” – including a delicious tri-tip sandwich pasted together with plenty of cheddar cheese and pico de gallo, then stuffed into a fresh bolillo roll. The shop’s spin on a traditional Cuban sandwich is also pretty irresistible: It’s laden with Dijon-crusted pork tenderloin, then topped with Spanish chorizo, butter pickles and Swiss cheese, and the house bread is toasted to near-perfection. There are a few Mexican and salad options as well, but you’ll come here for the sandwiches.
