Attention all crafters: You have the chance to be on TV.
Producers at Kellan Media are looking for folks who use discarded materials to make fashions and furniture for their show The Restylers.
The casting call starts today and runs through Sunday, March 21.
But you don't have to camp out on the sidewalk on some impossibly long line, American Idol-style. All you need to do is send an email with some jpegs to apply.
Producers are looking for individuals ages 16-30 (or entire families if it's a family thing) who frequent thrift stores and garage sales. They'll even accept you if you dumpster dive...as long as you turn the items you find into something fabulous, that is.
That's the catch - you can't just be a hoarder. You have to use discarded items to make stylish new clothing, housewares or furniture.
Key word: Stylish.
If you fit the bill, include your contact info (with a phone number), age, city, a photo of yourself and photos of your projects. You can provide links to your blog or facebook as well. And feel free to write a little something about you and your projects.
