Just when we thought our weekend was going to be boring, we got a last minute text from DJ Anthony Hart about an art show downtown. God bless technology. And what a relief it was to see an open gallery on a night other that a First or Third Friday when you have to dodge a massive crowd to get anywhere.
The group show featured photography, painting, a stellar food spread, DJ's and an open bar that lasted all night. A healthy crew showed up (you can see them on our slideshow) on the otherwise quiet 4th Street and McKinley certainly pumped, just like we were, to have something interesting to do on a Saturday night.

Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
