First Fridays in December are something of a big deal. Although the mercury will likely dip into the 40-degree range, we're expecting a horde of culture vultures will be traipsing about Roosevelt Row and Grand Avenue in order to make the scene and scope out potential Christmas gifts.
Thing is, the hottest party is gonna be happening a few miles away at Cityscape. A slew of local band will be performing at the real estate development's First Friday affair, including Broken Poets, Buskin Cuffs, and Factories (formerly known as Underwater Getdown). The main attraction of the night will arguably Mr. Meeble, as the experimental electro-rock trio will be presenting their first performance in more than a year.

Reckless Kelly at Rhythm Room (Thursday):

The Hump at Revolver Lounge (Thursday):
Throwback jams reign supreme at this old-school hip-hop night at the stylishly swank Old Town spot. DJs Lindsey and Myles will be spinning up plenty of New Jack Swing, as well as hip-hop hits from 1988 until 1998 every Thursday. 9 p.m., $8. (7416 E. Stetson Dr., Scottsdale)
First Friday at Cityscape (Friday):
Besides the aforementioned bands, DJs Jared Alan, Epidemic, and Hartbreaks will be performing al fresco at the outdoor event. Art displays, a beer garden, and a raffle for an iPad will also happen. Fayuca at Martini Ranch (Friday):
