Aficionados of the often-overlapping genres of country, Americana, folk, and roots music should be pretty ecstatic after reading this post. That's because a number of acts from said musical forms will pay visits to the PHX in the coming weeks and months.

San Diego's Johnny Cash tribute band Cash'd Out are coming to Mesa on New Year's Eve, the rootsy/bluesy musicians of Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band hit the Rhythm Room (natch) in January, followed by gigs in February from the Asylum Street Spankers and Scott H. Biram.

Also in January, hometown homeboys Lymbyc Systym make a return to their old stomping ground of Tempe, and Kansas indie rockers The Appleseed Cast come to town.
