Move Something

Draconian DUI penalties. Overpriced drinks. Snotty bartenders. There are any number of reasons why P-town urbanites haven't been willing to travel far from home to get to their favorite clubs or dance nights over the past few years. So longtime Blunt Club resident Pickster One has a solution to the problem: If clubgoers won't turn out for his newest shindig, Move Something, then he'll bring it closer to them. Along with his paint-slinging partner-in-crime, Dumperfoo, he'll be holding each edition of the event at a different location around the Valley. It's something akin a movable feast of sound, which is designed to keep things "fresh and creative." First up is Yucca Tap Room, 29 West Southern Avenue in Tempe, which hosts the kick-off party on Friday, December 11, and features a performance by Pickster's side project Crusher Sound System. Guests include DJ Epidemic, Death to the Throne, Nate Metro, and Foundation from The Insects/Drunken Immortals providing live percussion accompaniment. The party gets movin' at 9 p.m. Call 480-967-4777.
