Summer isn’t just for blockbuster sequels and pool parties. There are also plenty of big concerts making their way to the Valley. Some well-known headliners include Queen, Metallica, and by now, you probably know Kendrick Lamar is kicking off his DAMN. Tour in the Valley at Gila River Arena.

Get out your billfold and get ready to grab tickets for these summer 2017 concerts happening throughout metro Phoenix.

June

Phoenix
The French boys of Phoenix are coming to Phoenix – well, technically the Marquee Theatre in Tempe. Supporting their new album Ti Amo, Phoenix will be supported by The Lemon Twigs for this all-ages show at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13. Tickets are $40. See the Lucky Man Concerts website.

Black Lips
The garage band Black Lips are due at Crescent Ballroom on Sunday, June 18, for a 21-and-over show with Timmy’s Organism. Doors are at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8:30. Tickets range from $20 to $22. See the Crescent Ballroom website for tickets and details.

2017 Vans Warped Tour
What would summer even be without Vans Warped Tour? Happening on Thursday, June 22, at the Fear Farm Festival Grounds, the 23rd annual Vans Warped Tour features acts like War On Women, CKY, GWAR, the Acacia Strain, Fat Wreck Chords, and Strung Out and the Dickies, and local talent like Doll Skin, Playboy Manbaby, and Futuristic. Queen + Adam Lambert
The active members of Queen and American Idol runner-up and vocalist Adam Lambert join forces and start their 25-stop tour at Gila River Arena on Friday, June 23. Showtime is 8 p.m., and tickets start at $43 at Ticketmaster.

Iron Maiden
Bill and Ted would be stoked to know Iron Maiden would still be touring in 2017. The Book of Souls tour, starring Iron Maiden and Ghost, hits Phoenix at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Tickets start at $64 through Ticketmaster.

Freebandz presents The Nobody Safe Tour headlined by Future and supported by A$AP Ferg, Migos, Tory Lanez, and Kodak Black. The tour stops in Phoenix at Ak-Chin Pavilion at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28. Tickets start at $26. See the Freebandz website.

In case you haven’t seen Deftones about a dozen times since 1988, now’s your chance to catch them with Rise Against, Thrice, and Frank Iero and The Patience at Ak-Chin Pavilion. Show’s at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, and tickets are $30 and up through Live Nation.

Lamar kicks off his 17-stop DAMN. tour at Glendale's Gila River Arena on Wednesday, July 12. Travis Scott and D.R.A.M. are also in tow, because we haven’t heard “Broccoli” enough yet. Third Eye Blind
You don’t have to wonder how it’s going to be to see Third Eye Blind at Comerica Theatre, because you could just go on Tuesday, July 18. Supported by Silversun Pickups, the show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets start at $36. See the Third Eye Blind website for details.

Earth, Wind & Fire
The legendary Earth, Wind & Fire stop at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Tuesday, July 18, with CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers during 2054 The Tour. The show’s at 7:30 p.m., and the tickets start at $46 through Ticketmaster.

George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic

Aughts rock stars Incubus are coming to Ak-Chin Pavilion with local guys Jimmy Eat World, all supported by Judah and the Lion. The show starts at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, and entry starts at $24 through Live Nation.

Rancid
The Rawhide Western Town and Event Center in Chandler welcomes the ‘90s punk crowd on Tuesday, August 22, for the From Boston To Berkeley Tour featuring Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, the Selector, and Kevin Seconds. Show’s at 6 p.m., and tickets are $35.50 through Ticketfly.

Cold War Kids
Indie rock band Cold War Kids headline the grand opening of The Van Buren. Supported by Joywave and presented by Stateside, Cold War Kids comes to Phoenix on Wednesday, August 23. Show’s at 7 p.m., and tickets start at $10 through Ticketweb.
