If you were out soaking up the sounds at the Monarch Theatre during Pete Tong's spectacular set last month, we might have taken your picture. Ditto for those who hung out at both Bottled Blonde and El Hefe in Scottsdale, folks celebrating Spring Training at Dos Gringos and Giligin's, or the ravers who were up late at Arizona Event Center for Bubble Bobble 6.
Club Candids logged a lot of miles this month heading out to said establishments duiring the month of March and grabbing numerous party pics. Here's a rundown of some of the best shots.
On any given night at Bottled Blonde in Scottsdale, things tend to busy. Really busy. Like completely crowded busy. The newly opened pizzeria and ale house has been bringing in the skinny and the stylish on a regular basis with its craft beer options, fantastic pizza, and lively social scene since debuting back in January. The Club Candids crew paid a visit and got many photographs of those populating its bar area and large outdoor patio on Saturday, March 1.
Spring Training Day Drinking in Scottsdale
Scottsdale tends to be gripped by a case of baseball fever during spring training season, even moreso than the rest of the Valley. And the city gets even crazier in its fanaticism for the San Francisco Giants, who just happen to play at Scottsdale Stadium during Major League Baseball's preseason, which is evidenced by all the orange and black jerseys and caps being worn by fans at nearby bars.
It wasn't the only baseball apparel being sported, however. The Club Candids crew witnesses some of the spring training fandom for themselves on Sunday, March 16, when they visited several Scottsdale bars following a Giants game, including Dos Gringos, Giligin's, Bottled Blonde, and Majerle's Old Town.
4-2-10 Sundays at El Hefe in Scottsdale
Sunday afternoons are sort of a big deal at El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria in Scottsdale. The Saddlebag Trail drinkery goes absolutely wild out from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (hence the event's name) while scores of party monsters get crazy to electro jams and club bangers spun up by DJs like resident Thomas James and special guests. Meanwhile, confetti canons are shot into the air, the comely waitstaff shakes their groove things atop the bar, shots are poured straight into waiting mouths, zebra masks are worn, and everybody in attendance has a major blast on a school night.
Bubble Bobble 6 at Arizona Event Center
There weren't any Belugas, Incendos, or Coiley creatures lurking about the Arizona Event Center in Mesa during the weird and wild Bubble Bobble 6 on Saturday, March 29. Instead, the combination foam party and EDM rager inspired by the classic video game was populated by dance music fans, Deadmau5 look-alikes, candy kids, and costumed characters who all busted a move for eight straight hours amidst countless bubbles that soaked two separate rooms.
