Republican congressional candidate Adam Kwasman has become the latest in a long line of Arizona politicians to be the butt of Stephen Colbert's jokes on the Colbert Report.
His appearance results from his confusing of a bus full of kids from the YMCA as a bus full of migrant children getting transported by the federal government. Whoops.

Kwasman, currently a state representative, is running against House Speaker Andy Tobin and businessman Gary Kiehne in the Republican primary for Congressional District 1, a seat that's now occupied by Democratic Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick.
Kwasman joined in on a protest in Oracle in a bid to potentially stop a bus full of migrant children who were to be housed at a local boys' home, in accordance with federal law.
That bus never came, but the kids from the YMCA did, leading to Kwasman talking about seeing the fear in the children's faces (undoubtedly caused by the shouts of anti-immigrant protesters). Kwasman -- surprise, surprise -- is endorsed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
As you can see in the video above, most of the segment is dedicated to several aspects of mass hysteria surrounding the Central American children arriving in the country, including Kwasman's statement.
It's probably not a big deal for Kwasman, given Arizona's rich history on such comedy TV news programs. In fact, Kwasman's not even the first Arizona congressional candidate to be featured on the Colbert Report this year. That honor goes to former Republican Scott Fistler, who changed his party affiliation to Democrat and changed his name to Cesar Chavez to run for Congress in a heavily Democratic district.
