Last week, in honor of Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne's move to essentially
overthrow the Voting Rights Act of 1965, we asked our readers to offer suggestions for a caption for the above photo we snapped of Horne at last year's GOP election-night party for this week's New Times' You Write the Caption contest.

Once again, you didn't disappoint.

We had nearly 70 responses in the comment section of the post, which you can see by clicking here.

We've narrowed it down to five finalists, but only one can win the grand prize: a pay-your-own-way trip to the historic New Times building, a firm handshake, and a lukewarm glass of Phoenix's municipal tap water.

The finalists are as follows:

A) FormerRepublican with the following:

Mammy's Little Baby Loves Short'nin', short'nin'
Mammy's Little Baby Loves Short'nin' bread.
Sing with me now....
Mammy's little Baby Loves Short'nin', short'nin'
Mammy's Little Baby Loves Short'nin' bread.

B) David Saint with "I am not a crook..... just an inside trader...."

C) Andrew Thom Ass with "And then I said, 'Are you using the whole fist, Doc?'"

D) Ross with "I spent this much of my own money to buy my last job, I spent this much to buy this job, and I'll spend even more than this to buy the governorship!"

E) RY with "Ohhhh... let me tell you what I had to do to get Brewer's endorsement.. ever seen the movie Kingpen?"
