In case you missed any news action this week, we've got you covered.

Here's our recap of the most-read news stories of the week:

5.) Heather Guffin, Timeshare CEO and Expatriate, Stuck in Phoenix After Airport Arrest

Heather Rene Guffin, the CEO of a timeshare-marketing firm, was arrested at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport last week following an altercation with customs agents.

As of Friday, the 35-year-old expatriate was stuck in Phoenix, hoping a federal judge would rule that she can return to her husband and kids in Mexico, where she's lived since 2004.

Guffin's legal problems began, records show, after her plane landed from Cancún and she tried to cut in front of other passengers standing in a line for customs inspections.

4.) Mark Brnovich's Wife, Judge Susan Brnovich: Did She Pull a Lester Pearce?

In a blog item last week, I discussed a YouTube video sent out by Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne's GOP primary rival, former Arizona Gaming Director Mark Brnovich. The video talked about his family life and included some heartfelt comments from his wife, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Susan Brnovich.

The video did not identify Susan Brnovich by name or profession, other than hubby Mark noting that they met while they were working at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. It was embedded in an e-mail from the campaign.

Basically, Susan talks about what attracted her to Mark and praises him as a good father. Titled "Live Your Values, Do the Right Thing," the video is a not-so-veiled jab at Horne's lack of family values, at least in the sense that Horne hired his alleged mistress to a state job at a salary of $108,000.

The note from Mark in the e-mail included an appeal for campaign contributions and a direct swipe at Horne.

3.) Phoenix Bucket List - 100 Things to Do Before You Die: Kiddieland, FilmBar, and Ladmo's Tree

Welcome to the Phoenix Bucket List. Robrt Pela and Amy Silverman -- two New Times contributors and longtime Phoenicians -- have put together a list of 100 things to do in this city before you die. Each week we're presenting another 10; in March we'll wrap it all up in a cover story in New Times. For now, stay tuned to Valley Fever for more installments and be sure to share your suggestions in the comments section. Today, Robrt Pela presents the next 10 items on the list.

Give yourself a walking tour of the Orpheum Maybe you're one of those people who like to pretend it's a long time ago, when things were "better." Or maybe you love yourself some Spanish Revival architecture. Whatever. Take yourself to this gorgeous Baroque building, with its intricate murals and moldings, where all the big names played live in the '20s and '30s. The Orpheum became The Paramount movie house in the '40s and a circuit playhouse in the '60s before falling into disrepair. A 12-year-long renovation has restored it to its former glory, and it's been waiting, ever since its reopening in 1997, for you to come ogle it.

2.) Joe Arpaio's Top 10 Outrageous PR Stunts

Sheriff Joe Arpaio cracks the whip, and his neutered poodles in the press jump through the hoops.

From female chain gangs and inmate coloring contests to investigating President Obama's birth certificate and putting inmates on bread and water for defacing American flag stickers, Arpaio's pre-packaged tales fill news holes in every medium, from local TV to the Associated Press to the Huntington Post and beyond.

This rotten brain candy is pumped out by Arpaio's team of taxpayer-financed publicists, led by middle-aged media guru Lisa Allen, who has built a lucrative career around keeping Maricopa County's geriatric top gendarme on the boob tube and beyond.

1.) 10 Arizona Places Nobody Really Knows How to Pronounce

Thanks to the language differences among Anglos, Mexicans, and various Native American tribes, there are a whole lot of places around Arizona that no one really seems to know how to pronounce.

Check out 10 such places, along with our best ideas for how they're supposed to be pronounced:
