After police departments ran DUI-enforcement campaigns across the Valley for Independence Day, there are still going to be quite a few areas the cops will be looking for drunk drivers this weekend.
In fact, there appears to be more police departments working DUI patrols this weekend than there were last night, so check out the patrol areas below:
- Gilbert police will have patrols based out of different locations this weekend, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tonight, it's the northwest corner of Gilbert Road and Vaughn Avenue, and tomorrow, it's the northeast corner of Cooper Road and Guadalupe Road.

- Even less specific than Peoria's patrol, the West Valley DUI Task Force will have help from police in Glendale, Goodyear, Avondale, Tolleson, Buckeye, Peoria, El Mirage, and Surprise, which will be out on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Mesa police list the Albertson's parking lot at McDowell Road and Power Road, from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
- Tempe police and DPS are taking on Mill Avenue, at University Drive, from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. today.
- Scottsdale police and MCSO list just the "Downtown District" for Scottsdale, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. today.
- Chandler police list the same location it had on the Fourth of July -- the northeast corner of Arizona Avenue and Pecos Road, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday
- If you've seen our previous saturation-patrol posts, then you've seen the following six locations for Phoenix police, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., continuing through Sunday.
- Salt River police list the spot at the Scottsdale border, around the Walmart at Pima Road and Chaparral Road, from 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. This patrol continues through Saturday.
