Congratulations to the New Times reader who goes by the handle Eleanor, you are the proud winner of this week's New Times You Write the Caption contest.

On Friday, we asked readers to provide what they think would be an appropriate caption for the above photo. We picked the five best reader captions and put it to a vote.

See all the entries here.

stole the show with the following:

Are there really Mexicans in this pizza?

Thanks to everyone who played, and congrats again to Eleanor -- in honor of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, we've decided to add to the grand prize of a firm handshake and a glass of lukewarm Phoenix municipal tap water.

In addition to the handshake and the glass of filthy water, we will provide Eleanor with a "meal of [her] choice" (we're going with the MCSO's definition of "meal of [her] choice" -- which really means any meal that can be purchased at a drive-thru)

To retrieve your prize, send an email to James.King@newtimes.com.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
