Cobre Kitchen & Cocktails
Over the past month, the Valley food scene welcomed a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant, a new fast-casual sushi joint, and a bar in Old Town Scottsdale. Doors also opened at Union Jack, a British-themed bar, and Mochinut, a Japanese dessert place highlighting mochi. One Valley restaurant, Character Distinctive Dining, closed during the month.

Cobre Kitchen & Cocktails
7142 East 1st Street, Scottsdale
The American brassiere, Cobre Kitchen & Cocktails, landed in Old Town Scottsdale this month. The restaurant offers citrus brined pork chops, sea bass, and slow-cooked short ribs.

Wandering Donkey Taqueria & Tequila Bar
10121 East Bell Road, #150, Scottsdale
Once a food truck, the Wandering Donkey Taqueria and Tequila Bar opened at the southwest corner of Bell Road and Thompson Peak in north Scottsdale. The menu highlights nine different kinds of tacos, including roasted cauliflower and mushroom, chili stewed lamb, and crispy beer-battered sea bass tacos.

Unos Tacos y Birria
1859 South Stapley Drive, #106, Mesa
The second location of Unos Tacos y Birria has opened in Mesa. Quesadillas, burritos, tacos, and other Mexican favorites will be served.

Sam Fox welcomed the newest location of Flower Child in Gilbert. The healthy concept restaurant offers wraps, salads, and other nutritionally consciously grub.

El Hefe Supermacho Taqueria
4425 North Saddlebag Trail, #101, Scottsdale

After completing $1 million in renovations, El Hefe Supermacho Taqueria has reopened in Scottsdale with a new assortment of tacos and quesadillas. Discounted mimosas for weekend brunch are planned.

Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant
3325 West Chandler Boulevard, Chandler
Cooper Hawk's Winery & Restaurant opened its doors in Chandler. Chill with a variety of wines and beers. Bistro food options like pasta, burgers, and sandwiches are available. The restaurant and winery hosts tastings and offers wine club memberships.

5350 South Lakeshore Drive, Tempe
Head to Tempe to experience Lido, a restaurant with European-inspired cuisine (Italian, Spanish, and Mediterranean), along with relaxing views of the lake. The restaurant is available for private events.

The fast-casual breakfast spot Morning Squeezeis greeting customers at its third location in Downtown Phoenix. Choose from waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, and the usual fare for breakfast. Brunch highlights include sandwiches and salads.

Howler’s Restaurant & Sports Bar
1026 South Gilbert Drive, Gilbert

Howler's Restaurant & Sports Bar reopens its doors in time for college and pro football. The menu hasn't changed and offers standard bar food and brews.

Fu Belly
5055 West Ray Road, #8, Chandler

The family-owned Vietnamese restaurant, Fu Belly, is now open in Chandler. There are seven varieties of pho, rice bowls, and stir-fried egg noodles at the eatery. Don't skip on the chicken dumplings and the homemade pho.

Sushi Crush
6501 East Greenway Road, #123, Scottsdale
Kierland Commons added Sushi Crush as its latest restaurant. The fast-casual sushi joint serves Korean food, as well as sushi.

The first east Valley location of Sam Fox's restaurant, North Italia, is greeting restaurant-goers in Gilbert. The menu has salads, small plates, and entrees like a chicken parmesan sandwich, and wagyu steak.

Panchita's Mexican Food
710 West Elliot Road, Tempe
A Yuma-based restaurant, Panchita's Mexican Food, has opened its second location in Tempe. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and tortas are a part of the menu. Menudo is served on Friday and Saturday.

Blue 32 Sports Grill
2028 North Gilbert Road, Mesa
Opening its fourth location in Mesa, Blue 32 Sports Grill welcomed sports fans this month. Fried chicken, pizza, and fish and chips are a few of the entrees on the menu. Happy hour is from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Union Jack
15689 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale

The Union Jack, a British-themed bar, has opened where the Skeptical Chemist once took residence. English breakfast is available all day. Of course, there are fish and chips. It's a place for U.K. transplants to hang out while watching soccer matches or cricket.

117 East Southern Avenue, Tempe
A Los Angeles based bakery, Mochinut, opened its first location in Tempe. Doughnuts come in 25 flavors. Those who crave something savory can opt for Korean rice flour hot dogs.

After opening 10 months ago, the owners closed Character Distinctive Dining located on Roosevelt Row. Alias, the speakeasy behind the restaurant, is also permanently closed.
