Just because we aint got the Great Smoky Mountains and fields of Kentucky bluegrass in this here desert dont mean we aint got folks playing a bunch of acoustic stringed instruments and singing a high-lonesome sound. On the contrary, theres plenty o places in town to play/hear bluegrass music. The Arcadia Bluegrass Jam at Mama Javas. A Fiddle Jam at the American Legion in Apache Junction. And then theres the Arizona Bluegrass Associations (ABA) Bluegrass Pickin' in the Park -- one of our faves. You dont have to be an ABA member to get your twang on, so grab your banjo, guitar, upright bass, fiddle, or even a kitchen pan and jam.
Sundays, 1 p.m. Starts: Nov. 4. Continues through June 29, 2007
