What we know about fashion could fit inside one of our C cups, but we do know what we like, and Angela Johnson's Vaudeville Style Mystery Menagerie Fall 2008 Collection Fashion Show at the posh Clarendon Hotel sounds right up our puckered bodice. Johnson says her target market is "young, fashion-forward, daring, indie-minded, artistic women between the ages of 15 and 30 or so" and tells New Times that the 2008 line is "really dark. Almost every piece in the show is black or black and cream stripe."
Like Johnsons fashions, the Mystery Menageries not your typical runway show. DJs Jas and William Fucking Reed will provide the sounds, Pyra Sutra of Scandalesque performs pyrotechnic burlesque dances, and the citys fiercest models will glide and strut down the Clarendons newly remodeled outdoor catwalk. And what will the ladies be wearing? Old vaudeville looks, menagerie/animal inspiration, and murder mysteries, says Johnson. Colonel Mustard, put down that pipe and zip me!
