You may know Mike Little as the guy cruising downtown on his homemade skateboard kite. If youve ever hung out behind the Conspire building, maybe hes asked you to bum a cigarette so that his typewriter-aided, stream-of-consciousness compositions go uninterrupted. Maybe hes even crashed on your couch or floor.
People tend to forget the dude is a pretty darn good artist, too (his self-made documentary about his art showed in New York Citys Museum of Modern Art, after all). You can see his talent with the work thats currently hanging through the end of April at the Lost Leaf. The paintings in this show focus on portraiture in a quasi-Rainbow Brite-like palette.
