Dia de Los Muertos Celebration @ Desert Botanical Garden

When it comes to calacas and calveras – the Mexican skeletons and skulls of Dia de los Muertos – you can forget about being spooked. Instead, party it up with those who have departed.

Desert Botanical Garden, 1201 North Galvin Parkway, will host, in its bastion of earthiness, a giant interactive altar alongside music, storytelling, and dance performances.

Sat., Oct. 30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sun., Oct. 31, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 2010
