The controversial CityScape, located at Central Avenue and Washington Street, is the City of Phoenixs latest attempt at solidifying the downtown core as a place that people want to be. CityScapes Grand Opening will be a good opportunity to party up with its cheerleaders and keeping-your-enemies-close skeptics. Festivities include The Worlds Biggest Coffee Break at 8 a.m. and the dedication of the downsized Patriots Square Park at 10 a.m. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., A Taste of CityScape promises free food and beverages from resident eateries. The evening kicks off the complexs first First Friday and is capped by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Macy Gray.
