With the Arizona Diamondbacks’ first postseason appearance since 2007 in the bag, the goal for the National League West champs as their final series of the regular season unfolds this week, is staying healthy. For their opponent, the ailing Los Angeles Dodgers, it’s one last chance to trot out younger players as the team looks towards 2012. Keep an eye on Matt Kemp of the Dodgers and Justin Upton of the D-Backs as both players will use the series as a showcase to fortify their NL MVP bona fides. Kemp, perhaps the all-around best player in the league, appears to be the front-runner in the MVP race, but Upton is the most important hitter in baseball’s most unlikely success story of this year. The three-game series starts at 6:40 p.m. on Monday, September 26, at Chase Field, 401 East Jefferson Street.
Mon., Sept. 26, 6:40 p.m., 2011
