At this point in comedian turned podcaster Marc Maron’s career it’s more than plausible that the general public is more familiar with his twice-weekly interview program, WTF with Marc Maron, than his stand-up act. And with comedy podcasts on an ever-mounting rise, some fear that the free fun won't benefit Maron and his pre-recorded brethren, because the market is overloaded with options when it comes to funny dudes podcasting.
We beg to differ. Not that Maron really gives a shit what we think. But we'd argue that with WTF he does something the other 'casters don't. Hell. Most people talking with other people don't. And that's having an honest-to-goodness conversation. Maron isn't afraid of exposing his flaws, experiences, and weirdness, and, in doing that, his guests are more likely to relate with him and divulge the deep stuff.
Get a real-life dose of Maron and stories of his quirks, cats, and relationship woes Thursday at Stand Up Live.
