Louis CK is a creative-control freak. The guy directs, writes, and stars in his FX show Louie, picks how, when, and where he tours, and sells tickets to his performances directly to fans through his own website. Sounds a little overbearing, sure. But fans of the comic's comic appreciate his all-encompassing dedication. After all, it means we get funnier, better, more insightful experiences with his work -- because we know it's all him.
That's why, when CK rescheduled his December stop in Phoenix for February, we were totally okay with it. More than okay with it – we were ecstatic. The comedian will perform four shows that will be taped for his upcoming HBO special at Celebrity Theatre, 440 North 32nd Street. And if the perfectionist is being recorded, we know he's bringing his A-plus-plus game. Good deal, if you ask us.
While all performances are sold out as of this writing, we're told that additional tickets, $45 and up, will be released for CK's Saturday, February 16, performances at 7 and 10 p.m. Tickets from December's canceled shows will be honored.
