Blindfolding children, spinning them around, and giving them a stick to whack a piñata is pretty nuts. Just imagine how many injuries arise from kids getting a little too aggressive in their hunt for candy. Some adults continue to play with piñatas, which can be dangerous after a few drinks. For better or worse, most grown up parties don’t have piñatas, but that doesn’t mean they’re off limits. In fact, in spite of all the cheap Looney Tunes knock-offs and weird star shapes, artisan piñatas exist. The sixth annual "Mutant Piñata Show" will feature such works, as past exhibitions have included Sheriff Joe Arpaio in clown form, Hayao Miyazaki characters, and Arizona landmarks.
