Phoenix can feel like a small town at times, but maybe that's because half of its inhabitants are all up in each other’s bee’s wax on Facebook. For a true small town experience within the city’s limits, mosey to Phoenix Theatre’s production of Our Town, Thornton Wilder’s 1938 classic play, playing through Sunday, May 19.

Wilder set his work in the fictional Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, where the Webb and Gibbs families reside. The playwright definitely had a sixth sense about what would strike a common chord in audiences as the narrator of his Pulitzer Prize-winning work, the Stage Manager, guides us through these slices of life. This version of the classic is set to the sounds of turn-of-the-20th-century Americana.
