Hannibal Buress is a one-man-army of comedy; he's hitting you from nearly every possible angle. Less than a month after visiting with Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, the prolific stand-up comic returns with his own Rural Legend tour Friday, October 11.
The Chicago-born comedian has done it all, from writing for television (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock), appearing on television (FX's Louie, a Comedy Central special, co-hosting Adult Swim's The Eric Andre Show), and releasing albums to co-directing a video for up-and-coming rhymer Chance the Rapper. Buress keeps his hustle strong, but his bedrock is his talent for dropping punchlines that both encapsulate his slightly skewed perspective and the absurdities that he encounters daily.
Hannibal Buress lights up Stand Up Live, 50 West Jefferson Street, at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, October 12. Admission to the 21-and-over performances is $25, and there's a two-drink minimum. For more info, visit www.standuplive.com or call 480-719-6100.
