Recall your favorite memories and it’s likely your fondness for them has grown over the years. Artist Amy Masters explores the idealizing blur of looking back in "Re-Threading History," which is on display through Friday, December 6.

Masters, a Kansas native, has worked extensively in fibers and has been featured in group exhibitions across the country. Her Master’s thesis show, Re-Threading History surrounds or engulfs household objects with meticulous constructions of vibrant yarns of acrylic, cotton, and nylon mirroring the romanticization of moments. This isn’t crafts gone wild; this is the experienced past fascinatingly rendered into current & vivid reality.

Amy Masters’ "Re-Threading History" is on display at Harry Wood Gallery, 900 South Forest Mall, on ASU’s Tempe campus. Hours Thursday, December 5, are from 9 a.mdav. to 5 p.m. For more information on the free exhibition, visit www.asuevents.asu.edu/calendar.
