In the Musical Instrument Museum’s four-class course, "The Art of Music," creativity comes full circle with art spreading from the ears to the eyes and the instruments to the canvas. Led by artist Roberta Kritzia, "The Art of Music" teaches students of intermediate and beginners levels to create still-life renderings of instruments in both pencil and watercolor pastels. Rounding out the students’ education, the museum will also hold weekly tours of the galleries, focusing on the history and cultural significance of each featured instrument in the course.
"The Art of Music" is split into two class sessions, each held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 4725 East Mayo Boulevard. Session one is Sundays, January 5, 12, 19, and 26. Session two is Sundays, February 16, 23, and March 2, 9. Admission is $110 per session. To register for classes, contact [email protected] or call 480-245-6962.
