After a decade of good times, Salty Señorita closed its doors in November -- no, not for good but in order to relocate up the street to offer fans of the cantina and bar a renovated look and overhauled menu.
The new Salty Señorita, located at 3748 North Scottsdale Road in the former home of the Billet Bar, will celebrate its official grand opening today. From 7 to 11 p.m., the public is welcome to come enjoy live music, tableside margaritas, and samples from the restaurant's Taco-yaki menu.

As we told you in November, Salty Señorita's new menu comes from new executive chef Brian Feirstein, who's résumé includes time at Z'Tejas, Eddie V's Prime Seafood, and Cask 63. The beach-inspired fare includes crab flautas, veggie calypso bean hummus, and a steak and avocado salad. There are are iron skillet fajitas served with cilantro rice, beans, guacamole, tortillas, and salsa verde.
Drink options will include 50 types of tequilas, 70 types of margaritas, and sangria -- all of which will be served in quirky carriers such as custom-made fish bowls, conch shells, mermaid pitchers, coconut shells, and flower pots.
The restaurant also will offer 12-person grilling tables where patrons can watch as chefs prepare their meals. A 4,000-square-foot patio will feature fire pits, an indoor/outdoor bar, and multiple-level plank decking. Inside you'll find an open kitchen, stainless steel island bar, and sand-filled table tops.
Happy hour will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
