Filled with dozens of vendors, the free event showcases candies, ice cream, and all manner of chocolate goodness spread across two blocks of downtown Glendale.
More sweet details after the jump.
One of the tastiest booths -- and aptly named -- is Mr. Fudge, which sells more than a dozen different kinds of signature fudge. The espresso fudge is especially delicious, offering the super sweet chocolate fudge with a bitter kick of coffee.
The Ceretta's Candy Company booth offers up chocolate dipped strawberries, candy apples, and truffles, as well as their other booth that sells custom made chocolate pizzas. The Lily Lang Treats booth also serves its own mixture of tasty chocolate-dipped desserts such as fudge balls, English toffee, and their specialty caramel smores sticks.
It's not all about the chocolate at the Chocolate Affaire, though. The Nutz About Nuts booth features almonds roasted in cinnamon sugar that makes a crunchy, sweet, and addictive snack. The DD's Desert Delights booth also serves up some non-chocolate items such as their soft peanut brittle that has all the creamy flavor of peanut butter, and none of the tooth-breaking harshness of regular brittle.
For those not in the mood for desserts, there are also several booths offering up a huge choice of foods from Italian sausage and egg rolls, to gryos and hamburgers.
The Chocolate Affaire also provides live music entertainment as well as carnival rides and bouncers for kids. Several romance authors will also be appearing for signings and workshops throughout the event weekend.
The Glendale Chocolate Affaire will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
