New Restaurant Alert

Iss' Magic Mixes' Melissa Webb to Open New Oatmeal Cafe In Mesa

Oatmeal lovers and the health-conscious breakfast crowd soon will have a new spot to get local tea and quick morning treats in Mesa. Melissa Webb, often found at local farmers markets selling her Iss' Magic Mixes oatmeals, will be opening The Oatmeal Cafe in the next few weeks at the corner of Dobson and Guadalupe roads, and she gave us the scoop on her new menu.

Although the location is open now for retail sales and manufacturing of Iss' Magic Mixes, Webb hopes that by the end of the month, all the permits will be in order and she'll be ready to open her cafe. All the food offered will be vegan, with the exception of yogurt, which will be optional in parfaits. Baked goods like muffins and cookies, as well as made-to-order pancakes and vegan smoothies with fresh fruits and veggies also will be available.

While Webb's Oatmeal Cafe won't feature coffee, loose leaf teas from Wisdom Nectar and Olive Leaf Tea Co. will be available for a healthier kick to start your day. The cafe will have both indoor and outdoor seating, though the focus will be on quick grab-and-go breakfast options that are nutrient-rich and tasty. The hours aren't set, but Webb is tentatively planning for Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The Oatmeal Cafe's website isn't up yet, but you can stay updated on its opening date through the Iss' Magic Mixes website.
