Still, we had to share, because frankly, it takes a lot to suprise us these days, jaded as we are here at Chow Bella. We adore the super-cute Seattle-based Cakespy blog -- and props to Jessie Oleson for turning an obsession into a cottage industry.

Oleson writes a weekly column for Serious Eats, which is where we found her recipe for deep-fried cupcakes. Because no, this is not a treat you buy at the fair. You actually fry them up at home. If you dare.
