Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?
Black Friday
Ahhhh Thanksgiving is over, now it's time to shop! Forget about the nervous breakdown you are about to have, or worse, getting tramped by crazed Wal-Mart shoppers while you are out and about on this lovely black Friday and set your sights on local, independent shops for the foodies on your holiday shopping list. Besides, the way to a persons heart is with food, not a with a $3 hand mixer.
Stop by Sweets & Beats or Smeeks and pick up a few sugary treats or sneak over to Frances a snag a cute apron.
For
the chef that needs a little guidance, pick up a couple cookbooks from
Changing Hands Book Store or sign them up for a cooking class from Sweet
Basil Cooking School.
Everyone likes beverages! Grab a bag of coffee and a cute mug from
Cartel for the caffeine freak or ask the experts at Tops Liquor for a
recommendation for the wine snob in the family.
Happy Shopping!
Leftovers
You cooked for 20 when you only had 4 guests (on purpose) now what are you going to do with all those tasty leftovers? Our expert chef Carol Blonder has a few ideas for you in this weeks Ask the Chef. Or try our favorite, Thanksgiving Cupcakes. Layer stuffing, turkey and mashed potatoes in a greased muffin tin and bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes then top with gravy, a couple green beans and a cranberry. Serve hot.
