Itchin' for an excuse to pull that bicycle out of storage and get some extra wear out of your Cinco de Mayo muy loco party hat? Saddle up and get ready to ride through the streets of Scottsdale drunk off your ass and full of tacos, amigos, the 2011 CruzCruise Taco Crawl is upon us.
Like a two-wheeled training camp for The 2nd Annual Arizona Taco Festival (happening 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, October 15, at the Scottsdale Waterfront), the CruzCruise Taco Crawl kicks off the celebration early, this Saturday, October 1.
Sponsored by Yelp! with a starting meet-up at noon at the Salty Senorita in Old Town Scottsdale, the CruzCruise Taco Crawl invites revelers to jump on their pedal-driven party mobiles and eat and drink their way through five Old Town establishments.
Get the details including the rest of the bicycle booze cruise stops, find out why wearing a sombrero is a good idea, and where to RSVP after the jump.
The 2011 CruzCruise Taco Crawl happens at noon, this Saturday, October 1, with the first stop being the Salty Senorita. From there, the Cruise moves on to, in no particular order, Cien Agaves, Dos Gringos, Frank n Lupe's, and Loco Patron (the route is a secret, apparently.)
It's free to participate, but you'll be shelling out cash for anything you eat or drink along the way. Cruz Tequila will be offering shots for $5 and margaritas for $6 at each stop, and the CruzCruiser with the best sombrero will win a pair of VIP tickets (a $200 value) to the Arizona Taco Festival on October 15th. RSVP for The 2011 CruzCruise Taco Crawl here.
