Described as the "fifth and final piece to Craig DeMarco and Lauren Bailey's nucleus of restaurants," a second location of Joyride Taco House will join Postino Central, Windsor, Churn, and Federal Pizza on Central Avenue in Central Phoenix this December.
DeMarco and Bailey, the Upward Projects restaurateurs who opened the original Joyride Taco House in Gilbert in June, announced that the second location of the restaurant will be at 5202 North Central Avenue (across the street from Windsor and Churn) in a 4,200-square-foot space previously occupied by Aiello's Italian Restaurant.
Here's what diners can expect.
Like the Joyride Taco House in Gilbert, the newest location's Mexican-inspired menu will consist of tacos, salads, burritos, tortas, and specials such as rotisserie chicken with housemade guacamole and slow-braised beef and red chile tamales. There are cocktails as well, including beer, wine, and tequila. And daily made agua frescas, in flavors such as pineapple, almond horchata, and cucumber mint, can be enjoyed as-is or with the addition of alcohol.
The building is currently being refurbished and, when complete, will feature a wrap-around patio, retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and decor touches such as concrete patterned tile, copper shade lights, and a wall of exposed flagstone offering a glimpse into the kitchen.
