In a couple of weeks, fans of Pomo Pizzeria, the stylish Scottsdale spot serving certified authentic Neapolitan pizza (complete with a stamp of approval from the Italian trade group Associazone Verace Pizza Napoletana), will need to travel north to score their favorite artisan pies.
Thankfully, Pomo's new home isn't too far north -- and the digs are familiar ones.
The Republic reports the three-year-old pizzeria is moving a couple of miles north to the Shops at Gainey Village (Scottsdale and Doubletree Roads) due to its current home, in the Borgata of Scottsdale shopping center, set to be demolished this summer in lieu of a condominium complex.
The Republic goes on to say Pomo will occupy the space that formerly housed Dish and the Kitchen and hopes to open at the end of August at 8977 North Scottsdale Road.
Until it closes at the Borgata on Sunday, May 19, Pomo is offering daily "check-in specials," in which customers check in with their smart phones to the pizzeria's Facebook page to score deals like half-price bottles wine and free desserts. For details, go to Pomo's Facebook page.
