Have you had enough of the triple digit temperatures yet? Ready to get outta town? This weekend we're doing exactly that with a trip up north to the cooler temps of Flagstaff for a barbecue and beer festival, a stop at the Mother Road Tap Room for a pint or two of tasty craft beer, and then back home on Sunday for a quick and easy quiche.

Here's what's on our plate.

Eat This: Barbecue and More Barbecue at the Flagstaff BBQ & Brews Festival -- Craft beer, smokey ribs, tender brisket, tangy pulled pork, AND overcast weather with a high of 80 degrees? Sounds perfect! Head up north this Saturday for the 1st Annual Flagstaff Brews & BBQ festival at the Pepsi Amphitheater. Sample more than 100 different craft brews while sampling awesome signature barbecue from several local restaurants. Entertainment includes live music, chef demos, and a special screening of How Beer Saved the World with Phoenix beermaster and cicerrone Chuck Noll. Admission is just $10 per person. Beer and BBQ samples are extra. Gates open at noon. All ages welcome.

Drink This: One Pint of Roadside American Ale at Mother Road Brewing Co.-- Just in case you didn't get your fill of tasty Flagstaff brewed beer at the festival, stop by one of our favorite Flagstaff breweries, Mother Road Brewing Co., for a cold pint of their signature Roadside American Ale. Their version of the classic American pale ale, is light and refreshing with the perfect balance of malt and hops with a low ABV that won't put you on the floor after one or two. Their tap room is open 3 - 8 p.m. daily and is a must visit before leaving the cool oasis of the Flagstaff pines.

Bake This: Hash Brown Crusted Bacon Quiche -- This weekend we're going savory with our baking skills and making this delicious bacon, egg, and cheese quiche with a hash brown crust. It's one of the easiest breakfast pies we've come across and will make a great weekend treat. Just press your hash browns into a pie tin, pour in your egg mixture, bake for 30 mins, and enjoy!
