Add yet another local restaurant to the list of places going for a rebrand this summer. Every time we turn around, it seems another spot has gotten a face lift and a new name.

This time, it's The Sushi Room in Chandler's turn to change things. The restaurant, which opened its doors in 2011, will reopen as a new concept called Rock Lobster on Tuesday, September 2.

The new concept translates to the addition of three new teppanyaki tables where diners will be able to have an interactive dining experience -- as in, the food will be cooked right in front of them.

All the menu items from The Sushi Room will continue to be available, supplemented by 20 to 25 additional items. On the drinks side, expect a "huge sake lineup," Asian beers, and spirits.

Rock Lobster will open at 11 a.m., but the teppanyaki area will open at 5 p.m. Reservations will be required.

The Sushi Room opened in 2011, courtesy of the same folks behind downtown Ocotillo's The Living Room wine bar. The restaurant is owned and operated by Tom Kaufman, Patrick King, David Dabruzzi, Tim Valencia, Tony Eden, and Spike Lawrence.

Rock Lobster will open on Tuesday, September 2. The Sushi Room will remain open throughout the transition.
