The Bacon King Comments on Royal Life

We got to meet The Bacon Queen on Monday and today we thought we'd share a little insight into what it's like to be part of this royal family. Amy Vernon's husband, Bjorn Antonio, let us peek behind the curtain to learn the secret life of the bacon family. Here's what he said:

"They don't warn you about certain things when you get married."

Life at bacon palace after the jump.

At first, it was just my takeout bacon cheeseburger. I'd turn my head and when I looked back, my bacon would be gone.

Then, shortly after we were married, I'd take my wife to a diner for breakfast. I'd go to the bathroom and come back; my bacon would be gone.

Now, after 13 years of marriage, I asked my wife to make a whole package of bacon -- I repeat: A WHOLE PACKAGE OF BACON - so I could make a pasta dish with white cream sauce.

I saw the bacon in the morning; there was a lot of it. By noon, a little less. As 4 p.m. rolled around, and I started thinking about making dinner, it was all gone.

Did the magical bacon fairy come and steal my bacon? (At which point, my 7-year-old piped up and said, "Mommy is the magical bacon fairy!")

So while I do not believe in pre-nuptial agreements as far as property and money, there should be post-nuptial agreements concerning bacon. Because in 13 years, I have not been able to put bacon on a plate, leave the room and have full confidence that the bacon will still be there upon my return.
